A State of Trance, and a state of us. Monday is a school night for people with schools.
That's a terrible idea.What time?
Seven double rooms · Five nights out & a pool party · One functioning liver between us
until wheels down in Ibiza
Amnesia turns 50 this year and has, unwisely, scheduled its birthday for the exact week we land. The gaps between these nights are not rest days. They are simply nights we haven't booked tickets for yet.
A State of Trance, and a state of us. Monday is a school night for people with schools.
The one night we don't have to negotiate with a taxi driver at sunrise, because the party is already in the garden. Complete and utter hedonism, catered.
🔥 Deposit status: optimistic. Neighbours: none. Witnesses: legally, still none.
Every tune you shouted the words to in 2001, played at a volume your GP would not endorse.
Pure, uncut, no-additives trance. Bring a towel and an emotional support water bottle.
⚠️ Same day as Godskitchen. Pool at midday, Amnesia at midnight — Saturday is an 18-hour shift. Pace yourself. You won't, but pace yourself.
Ocean awareness in the afternoon, zero self-awareness by the evening. Beautifully balanced.

The final boss. Lasers primed, CO2 loaded, dignity checked at the door.
Deep in the countryside near Sant Llorenç de Balàfia — far enough from civilisation that nobody can hear the 6am terrace set. This is the plan, and it is a good plan.
Seven double rooms, one pool, one garden, and a patio destined to become a stage. Twenty minutes from Ibiza Town, which is precisely the right distance for a taxi negotiation at sunrise.
Seven doors. Behind each one, a person who swore they were "just having one".
Seven rooms' worth of people who have all, at some point, described this as "a bit much" and then immediately booked flights.
Guaranteed to be drinking shots out of tealight candles at 6am. If you thought you were getting any sleep this week, he says no.
Will be on the barrier for every single set. Has the stamina of someone half her age and knows it.
Owns more records than the rest of us combined. Sole authority on what goes on the villa speaker. See Rule 01.
Has been everywhere, climbed most of it. Will attempt to find an afterparty in a location that does not have one.
The only one with the fitness to survive all four nights. Will suggest a morning hike to a group that has not yet been to bed.
Arrives with no plan and somehow ends up knowing the promoter, the bar staff and three people in the DJ booth.
Eyes shut, hands up, gone by the second drop. Do not attempt conversation between 2am and 5am — she is busy.
…and the rest of the room roster, still pending. Names to be added once they stop pretending they might not come.
If it hasn't got a breakdown that makes a grown adult put their hands in the air, it doesn't go on the villa speaker. No exceptions, no matter who asks nicely at 4am.
If a DJ can be persuaded back to the villa, that is a win for the whole house. Persuaded. We're saying persuaded.
Started by people who did not come to Ibiza. Naps by the pool count as a full night and will be recorded as such.
Once spoken aloud, it is legally enforceable under maritime law and the terms of this villa. Do not test it.
Sunrise is not the end of the night. Sunrise is a lighting change.
…gets brought up at every single gathering for the next decade. Obviously. Act accordingly, or don't.
